Procedure Crossroads was a nuclear test collection with the Bikini Atoll, and also the inspiration for the naming of two French swimsuit models at time, including the bikini. In May perhaps 1946, Parisian trend designer Jacques Heim launched a two-piece swimsuit structure that he named the Atome ('Atom') and advertised as "the smallest swimsuit in
